Job Description



As a Material Lifecycle Planning Manager you will be a member of MM Material Planning team. Material Planning team's business objective is to maximize sales availability by proactive supply risk mitigation, scenario planning, and confirmation analysis that enable both solid supply confirmations against demand plans and the creation and promotion of additional sales opportunities. The team is also responsible for various types of analyses in the area of supplier capacity, inventory, lead time, and liability management in order to maximize Nokia business results.

In the role of Material Lifecycle Planning Manager-CTO, you will be responsible for setting up the new way of working for the configurable products from material planning perspective.

In this role, one must be able to communicate clearly, professionally and effectively any aspect of material planning, be it a liability scenario, material allocation or mid-term scenario plan, also to an executive level audience. Cross-functional collaboration is an inherent part of this work, which is driven by various types of impulses from business (e.g. changes in product schedules, major supplier de-commitments, or changes in product portfolios), and therefore ability to cope with high level of uncertainty and time pressure are essential qualities for reaching success in this role. Ability to create new concepts and learn fast will also smoothen your way to success in this role.



Qualifications



Main responsibilities

You will be responsible for further developing and deploying the concept of material lifecycle planning with the following key focus areas:

• Material availability and liability analyses in different phases of product lifecycle, covering liability risk estimations, supply flexibility planning and material availability planning. You will not be responsible for conducting all these analyses independently. You will act as glue between different Material Planning teams to ensure that we always have product and product portfolio view available.

• Collaboration and networking with stakeholders in Markets (Sales, Marketing, GTM, DSNM, Sourcing teams) and Mobile Solutions/Mobile Phones to ensure that Design for Availability viewpoint is considered in product and product/solution portfolio decisions.

• Involvement in demand supply planning, particularly business entity (Mobile Phones, MeeGo, Symbian) specific planning meetings

• Driving the development of new planning and analysis capabilities across Material Planning team to improve Nokia's Sales & Operations Planning performance.



Experience and required competences

• Proven track record in demand supply planning, materials management, sourcing, and/or productization

• Strong analytical skills and proven ability to conceptual and analytical thinking

• Proficiency in operations management and supply chain management including for example capacity management, inventory management, and DSN optimization

• Good knowledge of financial analysis

• High level of professionalism in planning and organizing complex tasks under time pressure

• Exceptional communication and relationship management skills

• Demonstrated ability to innovate new and drive changes across organizations and cultural boundaries

• Openness to change and willingness to cultivate new ways of working according to Nokia transformation goals

• Relevant university degree
