We are currently looking for experienced software developer to join us in Helsinki, Finland. Your primary responsibilities will be developing our power management in our Linux kernel. Your part of the work will be also following the upstream projects and take new versions into use, as well as sending patches upstream.

Your tasks would be:

— write/maintain/fix on any side of kernel on PM area

— testcase specification and implementation

— analyzing behaviour of HW/SW in different use-cases

— communication of found possible optimization/issues



Qualifications



You have a Master of Science in Software Engineering or another relevant educational degree combined with strong experience in product development. Coupled with this, you have 5 years of software development experience in Linux low level application software. Previous experience on power management on Linux kernel is needed. You are familiar with different power saving techniques in handheld devices and understanding how and for what different techniques are for. You have also understanding how drivers are co-operating with power management and you are capable to support driver development on taking power management into account in their design and implementation. Previous experience and contributions on open source community work is mandatory.

You are also fluent with Debian packaging and git version control. You have fluent English and good communication skills. On top of this, you are able to function both independently and as part of a team and your dedication to quality drives you to seek opportunities for improvement and innovation.
